MANDATORY INTERNSHIP AT FOOD BE GOOD · ALL GENDERS

Founder’s Associate – Pilot Projects & Growth

Build pilot projects with us. Help them grow.

Build pilot projects with us. Help them grow.

At Food Be Good, you’ll develop pilot projects alongside our founder, Alice Warkentin: from the first conversation with a canteen and the on-site launch to exploring how a partnership can expand to more locations.

We develop digital solutions to reduce food waste in canteens and make surplus meals accessible. We’re looking for someone who spots opportunities, brings people together and turns ideas into action.

Start date, duration, hours and working arrangements: by agreement, in line with your university’s requirements.
Compensation: unpaid, as part of a mandatory internship required by your degree.

Your mission: launch, learn and grow together

  • Win pilot partners: Research suitable canteens and organisations, reach out to potential partners and work with Alice to turn first conversations into concrete next steps.
  • Get pilots ready to launch: Help clarify needs, goals, timelines and responsibilities with partners. Prepare the rollout and work through open questions with our team.
  • Support delivery: Stay in touch with everyone involved, spot obstacles early and suggest solutions. Gradually take on coordination of a clearly defined project.
  • Find out what works: Collect feedback and help us assess how the offer is used, the work involved and the value the pilot brings to the canteen.
  • Turn successful pilots into growth: Help identify improvements, prepare follow-up conversations and make successful processes work for new partners and sites.

At the start, we’ll agree a realistic project scope, clear learning goals and regular check-ins.

What makes you a good fit

  • You’ve made something happen. A personal project, student initiative, event or volunteering: we want to know what you contributed and what you learnt.
  • You take initiative. When something’s unclear, you ask thoughtful questions, do your research and come back with a proposal.
  • You follow through. You prepare for conversations, follow up on commitments and communicate early when something gets stuck.
  • You think like an entrepreneur. You want to understand what customers need, the value our offer creates and how it can become a commercially viable partnership.
  • You bring people on board. You listen carefully, communicate clearly and feel ready to reach out to new contacts.
  • You communicate confidently in German, can work with our team in English and are looking for a mandatory internship as part of your degree.

What you’ll get

Direct collaboration with Alice, quick decisions and your own project with visible results. You’ll learn how to win partners, test an offer in everyday operations and use feedback to build a stronger business model.

You’ll get regular feedback and support with new tasks. Your ideas will inform real decisions; with mutual approval, you can use specific work in your portfolio.
